Telecommunications Analyst

Adecco is currently recruiting for a Telecommunications Analyst for a 5-month on-site contract opportunity. This contract opportunity is in Ottawa, ON .

The successful candidate must hold a valid Secret Security Clearance .

Telecommunications Analyst will have the following responsibilities :

• Review, analyze, and provide recommendations on deployed and / or classified communication systems, including, but not limited to, the Wide Area Deployed Network (WADN), Consolidated Secret Network Infrastructure (CSNI), and remote access gateways;
• Recommend telecommunication system solutions, specifically on the Client's network systems, for discrepancies, deficiencies, and changes to equipment and configurations for both classified and deployed network systems.
• Liaise with telecommunication sub-system technical groups to ensure system integrity, performance, reliability, and maintainability.
• Analyze and integrate telecommunication systems based on specific customer requirements and strategic plans.
• Prepare planning, procurement, and evaluation support documentation, including network plans and drawings, equipment configurations, network strategic plans and architectures, test and evaluation plans, and in-service support standards and procedures.
• Review, analyze, and provide recommendations relating to telecommunication system components and associated documentation.
• Participate in design, technical, and management reviews to monitor, advise, and report on progress and potential problems.
• Conduct telecommunication system integration testing and evaluation.
• Analyze telecommunication system deficiencies and recommend cost effective solutions, such as : optimizations following network utilization and application characteristics analysis.
• Review, analyze, and provide recommendations on the suitability of industry documentation.
• Conduct technical definition studies and options analysis.
• Analyze, integrate, verify, and provide recommendations on installation procedures, system design and / or system modifications to ensure industry standards and best practices are followed.
• Review, analyze and provide recommendations on change requests for implementations of new deployable and / or classified communication systems via the Request for Change (RFC) Tool.
• Other duties as assigned; Telecommunications Analyst must meet the following mandatory requirements :
• Must have a minimum of five (5) years of experience as a Telecommunication System Specialist ;
• Must have a minimum of five (5) years of experience working as a network-specific Telecommunication System Specialist in a network / telecommunications IM / IT service delivery environment;
• Must have a minimum of five (5) years of experience working on a Transmission Control Protocol / Internet Protocol (TCP / IP) router-based wide area network with 150+ router nodes providing the following : network design, router configuration, device Management;
• and network Testing and troubleshooting;
• Must have a minimum of five (5) years of experience in designing and installing networks using the General Dynamics (GD) TACLANE Network Encrypter and the Encrypter Manager (GEM) application.

This includes the configuration and management of General Dynamics Taclane family of Type-1 encryption devices.

• Must have a minimum of five (5) years of experience in administering Internet Protocol (IP) networks using Open Shortest Path First (OSPF) and Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) routing protocols, as well as Multi-Protocol Label Switching (MPLS) network technology.
• Must have a minimum of five (5) years of experience working on network engineering solutions with telecommunications service providers.
