Pay Range : CAD $55 - CAD $60 / hour. Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).
Key Responsibilities :
- Install, configure, and maintain IBM MQ software and related components.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure high availability of messaging services.
- Hands-on experience of MQ Clustering, High Availability and DR Concepts
- Implement security measures to protect message queues and sensitive data.
- Plan and implement capacity upgrades based on system usage trends.
- Optimize system performance through configuration tuning and regular maintenance.
- Develop backup and recovery strategies to safeguard messaging data.
- Document configurations, processes, and procedures for reference purposes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate messaging solutions into existing systems.
- Provide training and support to users on IBM MQ best practices.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory standards and industry requirements.
Key Requirements and Technology Experience :
- IBM MQ Administration
- IBM MQ , installation, configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting
- Security protocols and best practices for messaging systems
- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Shell, Python) for automation tasks
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Knowledge of Veritas Clustering will have added value.
