Metal fabricator
Read and interpretwork orders to understand project specifications. Operate metalcleaning equipment such as grinders deburrers and sanders to removeexcess welds rust scale and other materials from surfaces of metalparts castings and other metal products.
Cut grind or chip excessmetal from metal products using hand tools. Polish metal productsto achieve a mirror finish. Build crates according to customerrequirements for secure product transportation.
Assemble partsincluding light boxes with precision and attention to detail.Operate various machinery including spot welders shears frictionsaws and panel saws.
Accurately and honestly report allmanufactured quantities distinguishing between good parts and scrapparts for each work order in the ERP (PSI) System.
Promptlycommunicate any reporting errors to thesupervisor. Perform any additional jobrelated duties as directed bythe Supervisor.
Adhere to all company policies procedures and workinstructions ensuring compliance with safety regulations. Reportunsafe conditions and personal injuries to theSupervisor / Manager.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Metal Fabricator or similar role. Proficientin reading and interpreting work orders. Skilled in operating metalcleaning equipment hand tools and various machinery.
Ability towork with precision and attention to detail. Experience inpolishing metal products to a mirror finish. Familiarity with cratebuilding for secure product transportation.
Competent in assemblywork particularly with light boxes. Knowledge of operating spotwelders shears friction saws and panel saws.
Strong communicationskills and the ability to report accurately and honestly.Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to company policiesand procedures
