Job Description
Reporting to the National Account Manager, the Unit Controller will oversee financial and reporting management for sites dedicated to client accounts.
Working out of our Toronto location, the unit controller will support 3 client sites; Toronto, Vancouver and Montreal. Collaborating with the site National Account Manager and site managers for each location, the unit controller will oversee the unit finances, drive operational management efficiencies and provide guidance on purchasing approvals.
How You'll Make an Impact :
- Work closely with Operations Accounting and senior leadership to ensure accurate and timely reporting of financial information
- Demonstrate expertise in financial processes, analysis, business planning, forecasting and solution driven
- Prepare fiscal budgets and period forecasts
- Identify areas of opportunity based on KPIs, trends and other metrics
- Manage site expenses
- Lead client attended financial reviews
- Drive efficiency through operational excellence projects
- Consult National Account Manager on current operations related to budgets, forecasts and data analysis
- Complete all client and site operations reporting and validate accuracy
Qualifications
What You'll Need to Succeed :
- Bachelor's degree in business analytics, statistics, economics, finance, or related field
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in finance / analytics preferred
- Demonstrated proficiency in financial management and demonstrated ability to identify and resolve errors and anomalies
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel required, including but not limited to development and troubleshooting of macros and code in VBA editor, creating and editing power queries, proficient in complex formulas
- Strong communication skills
- Confidence in leading client attended financial review meetings
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, exercise independent judgment, work on own initiative and on multiple projects simultaneously.
