Job Description

Primary Job Functions :

• Prepare and cook food a with accordance to applicable federal, provincial, and corporate standards guidelines and regulations to ensure high-quality products is provided.
• Clean and Sanitize workstations, equipment’s and, and follow according to Sodexo standard and that includes surrounding areas in the kitchen, like walls, floors and vents.
• Prepare and cook daily food requirements under the supervision of lead or supervisor.
• Complete production logs, temperature logs and other necessary documents.
• Receive inventory, move and lift food supplies and arrange according to policies.
• Attends and complete trainings assigned online or in person.
• Count inventory, help in ordering process and monitor stocks usage and waste.
• Strictly Follow procedure and recipes in cooking or baking according to SOP.
• Follow the cleaning schedule daily, weekly of the equipment and designated areas.
• Perform any other tasks that may from time to time be requested by the supervisor.
• Responsible for performing work according to safe work practices by learning the safe way to do a job and seeking instructions when in doubt.

Qualifications

What You’ll Need to Succeed :

• Previous cook experience.
• Ability to maintain a positive attitude.
• Ability to communicate with co workers and other departments with professionalism.
• Graduate of Culinary ( preferred )
• Demonstrated ability for exceptional customer service, willingness to go beyond low requirements.
• Ability to work under supervision and comply with standard procedures.
• Must comply with any dress code requirements, no jewelleries in work areas.

Physical Requirements :

• Significant walking or other means of mobility.
• Ability to work in a standing position for long period of time.
• Ability to reach, bend, stoop, push and pull and frequently lift up to 15.88 kilograms / 35 lbs and occasionally lift / move 22.68 kg / 50lbs.

Working Conditions (may add additional conditions specific to defined work location) :

• Generally in an indoor setting; however, may participate in outside activities and events.
• Varying schedule to include evenings, holidays, weekends and extended hours as business dictates.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to a warm / hot environment, and may be exposed to heat / cold during support of outside activities.
• The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
