Quel est le rôle proposé?

Sous la supervision du Chef de service, en tant qu’Ingénieur électrique de service, tu auras la charge de soutenir le groupe de service après-vente afin de répondre aux besoins des clients et d’étudier des causes de défaillances des véhicules produits par la Compagnie Électrique Lion et travailler avec l’équipe d’ingénierie pour trouver des solutions efficaces.

Dans ton quotidien, tu auras à :

  • Fournir des procédures de diagnostic aux techniciens de Lion et aux clients afin de limiter le temps d’arrêt d’opération des véhicules, et améliorer la fiabilité de notre produit.
  • Créer et améliorer les outils de diagnostiques;
  • Maitriser le fonctionnement des véhicules Lion et comprendre le besoin d’utilisation des produits par nos clients.
  • Proposer des solutions pour mitiger les problèmes à court et / ou à long terme.
  • Maitriser les infrastructures électriques de nos véhicules afin de supporter les équipes;
  • Analyser les données provenant des véhicules afin de proposer des actions correctives
  • Travailler en collaboration avec les autres départements d’ingénierie afin d’améliorer la fiabilité de nos véhicules
  • Mettre en place des plans de correction et de suivi de modifications;
  • Revoir et approuver des rappels et des bulletins de service.
  • Concevoir des plans électriques
  • Tout autre taches connexes

Ce qu’il te faut pour réussir dans ce poste

Connaissance

  • Connaissance des véhicules électrique ou des architectures à haut voltage;
  • Connaissances en mécanique automobile, un atout;
  • Connaissance des logiciels : OpenECU, Iqan Design, CATIA electrical system design, un atout;
  • Compétences avancées avec la suite MS Office.

Habiletés

Capacité à communiquer efficacement ;

  • Faire preuve d’un bon esprit d’analyse ;

Formation et expérience

  • Détenir un baccalauréat en génie électrique
  • 5 ans d’expérience pertinente (de préférence dans l’industrie du transport);
  • Expérience dans l’interprétation de dessins techniques et de schémas électriques;
  • Expérience avec CAN bus et analyse de diagnostic trouble code (DTC);
  • Expérience avec des logiciels pour analyse CAN (Canalyser, PiSnoop ou équivalent);
  • Expérience en récolte et analyse de données et de diagnostics.

What's the role?

Under the supervision of the Service Manager, as a Service Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting the after-sales service group in responding to customer needs, studying the causes of vehicle failures produced by Lion Electric and working with the engineering team to find effective solutions.

What are the main responsibilities of the role?

  • Provide diagnostic procedures to Lion technicians and customers to limit vehicle downtime and improve product reliability.
  • Create and improve diagnostic tools;
  • Master the operation of Lion vehicles and understand our customers' need to use our products.
  • Propose solutions to mitigate short and / or long-term problems.
  • Master the electrical infrastructure of our vehicles to support our teams;
  • Analyze vehicle data to propose corrective actions.
  • Work in collaboration with other engineering departments to improve vehicle reliability.
  • Implement corrective action plans and follow-up on modifications;
  • Review and approve recalls and service bulletins.
  • Design electrical drawings
  • Any other related tasks

What are the essential elements for success in this role?

Knowledge

  • Knowledge of electric vehicles or high-voltage architectures;
  • Knowledge of automotive mechanics, an asset;
  • Knowledge of software : OpenECU, Iqan Design, CATIA electrical system design, an asset;
  • Advanced MS Office skills.
  • Good written and oral communication skills (French and English);
  • This position requires intermediate to advanced oral and written English on a daily basis, in order to communicate with suppliers and colleagues located outside Quebec.

Training and experience

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering
  • 5 years relevant experience (preferably in the transportation industry);
  • Experience in interpreting technical drawings and electrical diagrams;
  • Experience with CAN bus and Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) analysis;
  • Experience with CAN analysis software (Canalyser, PiSnoop or equivalent);
  • Experience in collecting and analyzing data and diagnostics.

Additional information

  • Two positions are available as Electrical Engineers :
  • The first position is available for a person with 3 to 5 years of related experience;
  • The second position is available for a person with more than 5 years related experience.
  • This position is face-to-face, 3 days a week or more, depending on business needs.
