Job Title : Applications Programmer / Developer

Location : Toronto,ON

Duration : 12 months Contract (with potential for extension)

Work Type : Hybrid (2-3 days per week onsite)

Pay Range : C$65 - C$75 / Hr

About the Role :

As an Applications Programmer / Developer, you'll play a pivotal role in leading technical aspects of projects from inception to deployment.

You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze requirements, design solutions, and develop innovative applications.

Your strong technical skills, combined with a passion for data and analytics, will enable you to deliver high-quality solutions that drive business value.

Key Responsibilities :

• Technical Leadership : Lead technical aspects of projects, ensuring adherence to best practices and architectural principles.
• Data Analysis and Insights : Analyze large datasets, extract meaningful insights, and communicate findings effectively.
• Development and Deployment : Develop, test, and deploy applications using technologies like PySpark, SQL, and Tableau.
• Cloud and Data Engineering : Leverage cloud platforms (Azure) and data engineering techniques to build scalable and efficient solutions.
• Collaboration and Communication : Work collaboratively with teams to understand requirements, provide technical guidance, and resolve issues.
• Documentation and Knowledge Sharing : Document technical designs, processes, and knowledge to ensure smooth transitions and future reference.

Required Skills and Experience :

• Technical Proficiency : Strong proficiency in PySpark, SQL, and Tableau.
• Cloud Expertise : Experience with cloud platforms, particularly Azure.
• Data Engineering : Solid understanding of data engineering concepts, including data pipelines, ETL processes, and data warehousing.
• Data Analysis and Visualization : Ability to analyze complex data, extract insights, and create compelling visualizations.
• Problem-Solving and Critical Thinking : Proven ability to identify and solve complex problems.
• Communication and Collaboration : Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Preferred Skills and Experience :

• Databricks and Synapse : Experience with these data platforms.
• Presentation Skills : Ability to present complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
• Banking Industry Experience : Familiarity with banking domain and regulatory requirements.
• Project Management : Experience managing small to medium-sized projects.
