Senior Producer

Your Role

A Senior Producer at McCann Canada is someone who is passionate about creative and finding ways to make great work! Our producers are not only the main liaise between account and creative teams and our production partners, they are also multi-taskers who produce creative across all platforms including broadcast / video, photo, digital content production, activations and R&D.

You will leverage your understanding of production to guide teams and clients through a project lifecycle. This role requires an ability to communicate strongly and effectively to drive decisions and next steps.

What you will do

• Working with creative teams early in the process to answer questions, give guidance and ensure that work is within the parameters of the brief / budget.
• Creative problem solving is key whether it be a large broadcast project or a smaller online content piece involving an activation.
• Working with internal and external resources to ensure the project is executed to the highest level of quality.
• Effective communication and negotiation with external stakeholders and suppliers, including talent agents, cost consultants, etc.
• Managing schedules, including booking creatives and prioritizing resources appropriately.

Who you will be

• 8+ years of experience working within an ad agency as a Producer.
• Innovative thinking and the ability to push the envelope.
• Your creativity and adaptability - you will need to lean into other areas of production on some of the integrated projects.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to adapt to the many different personalities.
• Strong organizational skills including scheduling, managing suppliers, timely talent contract submissions etc.
• A track record of strong relationships with suppliers and vendors. A team player who understands how to work effectively in a fast-paced organization.
• Ability to multi-task / manage many projects at once.
• Existing relationships with leading production vendors.
• Experience with ACTRA and UDA.
• Willingness to work off hours as required as per production schedules.
• Experience outside of traditional broadcast including activations, digital production or R&D a plus.
