Overview :
Our client is seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant for a 3-month hybrid contract in Burlington, ON, with the possibility of extension.
This role requires significant experience with Microsoft Dynamics, specifically in project finalization. A CPA designation is essential.
This position offers flexibility with a mix of remote and in-office work, ideal for a candidate who thrives in both environments.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead and manage daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger functions.
- Assist with the preparation and filing of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Oversee the management of fixed assets and depreciation schedules.
- Ensure accurate and timely execution of month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
- Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP (ASPE) and company policies.
- Perform variance analysis and develop financial models to assist in business decision-making.
Qualifications :
- CPA designation is required.
- Strong experience with Microsoft Dynamics, particularly in finalizing projects.
- Solid background in general accounting and financial reporting.
- Expertise in managing fixed assets and depreciation schedules.
- Deep understanding of GAAP (ASPE) principles.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
