Job Description & Summary

A career within Technology Strategy services, will provide you with the opportunity to help organisations develop strategies that transform their technology capabilities and solve their most critical challenges.

We focus on building technology enabled and agile operating models, planning their new enterprise architecture into a differentiating capability system that helps them win in the market, leveraging digital analytics to enhance the customer experience and optimising business operations, and using modern management techniques such as robotic process automation and next generation sourcing strategies to help our clients get fit for growth.

Meaningful work you'll be part of

As a Director of AWS Cloud Architecture focused on Amazon Web Services, you'll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve business issues, deliver high quality client service and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to :

• Deep understanding of the Quebec marketplace specifically around cloud adoption and transformation
• Demonstrated ability to meet with executive level customer contacts (business and technical) to drive conversations around key business initiatives and priorities and how they can be accelerated and / or achieved with cloud technologies / architectures
• A clear understanding of cloud capabilities and how they interact with existing on premises and hybrid cloud environments
• An ability to synthesize industry specific challenges with cloud solutions having worked with multiple industry sectors and solution providers in a consulting capacity
• Collaborate with cross functional team members to develop and propose to potential customers technical cloud-based solutions including SOW's
• Gathering and assessing client requirements, and translating these into solution requirements and design
• Develop reference architectures and best practice approaches to optimize clients' cloud adoption, application performance, security, and cost models
• Provide technical and go to market leadership focused on asset driven cloud-based solutions and services, collaborate and lead development focused of cloud-based solution assets and assist in bringing them market
• Help others think critically and educate non-technical audiences and stakeholders on complex technical solutions both orally and in writing
• Be an active member in the technology community, provide thought leadership and mentorship, share your knowledge and expertise
• Collaborate with senior leadership to define, develop and implement the strategic direction and focus on emerging enterprise cloud services
• Continue to advance your skills, knowledge and network related to your field

Experiences and skills you'll use to solve

• An interest to continuous upskilling for a digital first world and embrace technology trends, an openness to learning new tools and adapting how you work
• A demonstrated commitment to valuing differences, developing and coaching diverse teams, and ensuring diverse perspectives are heard
• Relevant years' experience working as an architect or related capacity, ideally in finance, retail, telco, government or public sector organizations
• Demonstrated experience in cloud architecture and business applications, project execution, practice management and an understand of software development
• Extensive experience in development and execution of cloud-based programs working across functional teams including Enterprise Architecture, Data Technology, Business / Corporate application owners and stewards, Governance and Management CoEs
• Experience in a technical leadership capacity to implement and scale cloud-based projects with a specific focus on the following :
• Cloud technology architectures and solution options aligned to technology strategy and cloud infrastructure use cases, including hybrid cloud and deployment options (PaaS, IaaS, etc)
• Change management practices including organizational models, roles / responsibilities and technology tooling and automation
• Application modernization strategies and tooling
• Understanding of solution architecture, API lifecycle, technical documentation, including logical and physical architecture, and systems design artifacts
• Solid executive level communications skills with prior working experience in a consulting environment
• Experience delivering in waterfall, scrum, agile, and other methodologies
• Good oral and written communication skills, including developing business presentations, technical writing and facilitating data driven options analysis, senior level stakeholder discussions with an ability to express complex technical concepts in terms that are understandable to the business
• The successful candidate requires fluency in English, in addition to French as they will be required to support or collaborate with English-speaking clients, colleagues and / or stakeholders during the course of their employment with PwC Canada
• A premium will be paid to candidates who are efficient in French language at a bilingual level

• CI / CD - Jenkins, Tekton, ArgoCD, Flux
• Linux / Unix shell
• Git and various git platforms (GitHub, GitLab, BitBucket, etc)
• Development experience (Go, Python, NPM)
• Agile software development and release cycle management
• Software testing and test suites
• Application monitoring and alerting
• Application migration and modernization (microservices etc)
• Container development and management (Containerd, Docker, Kubernetes, etc)
• Technical presentations and public speaking engagements
