Role Description
This is a full-time remote role for a Senior Property Adjuster. The Adjuster will be responsible for investigating insurance claims, evaluating damages, documenting claim details, negotiating settlements, and providing support to policyholders throughout the claims process.
Strong organizational and technology skills are required.
Responsibilities
- Manage claim documentation and compliance within claim management software
- Assist colleagues with claim management documentation and organization
- Intaking, managing and following up with client leads
- Represent clients in the insurance claims process by investigating, analyzing, and settling property claims on behalf of policy holders
- Interpret policy conditions and coverage for policy holders
- Conduct investigations to determine the extent of damages and losses, consulting and organizing third-party contractors and vendors
- Provide superior quality customer service to external and internal customers, representing the company professionally and respectfully as a team player
- Keep up-to-date with changes to insurance laws and regulations, including appraisal and investigation
- Perform duties assigned in compliance with established work standards, policies and procedures
- Become an expert in our claim management software, and use other software such as Docusign and Microsoft Office.
Qualifications
- University or college diploma or equivalent business experience
- At least 3-5 years of experience as a Property (Home / Commercial) Adjuster in Ontario
- Preference given to candidates with Full Adjuster License, Probationary License or enrollment in CIP courses.
- Strong organizational, documentation and computer skills
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Able to manage a portfolio claims at once
- Knowledge of insurance policies and regulations in Ontario
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
This is a remote position and requires some travel around Ontario. Applicant must have a valid driver’s license with a good driving record and a reliable vehicle.
Gas and mileage will be covered. Compensation to be negotiated based on experience.
