In this role, you will be responsible for growing the groups business in Canada social leisure groups from corporate business, TOs group as well as direct TA groups.

You will maintain the existing group bookings to ensure our customer service levels are met. This is a national position, traveling across Canada, which includes sales visits, trainings and hosting local and in destination events.

You will work with the other BDMs as necessary to achieve our goals and actively report activities in Salesforce.

A successful Business Development Manager will :

  • Achieve goals and commercial targets.
  • Prepare and implement plans for new business development.
  • Analyze competitor strength and weaknesses and prepare organization

strategies.

Monitor all expenses on travel to reduce department costs and manage

communication with all colleagues to ensure optimal performance.

Develop and maintain effective relationships with all new and prospective

clientele and monitor all activities for sales calls.

  • Organize and host various sales trips, Familiarization Trips and tradeshows.
  • Organize and host trainings, events and webinars.
  • Maintain and update all knowledge on Industry trends.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to Hyatt core values (included in all job

descriptions).

Be able to work independently and take responsibility for duties using Sales

Force and other resources.

A successful Business Development Manager will :

  • Be currently living in Canada (Toronto area specifically)
  • Be fully bilingual : French and English (requirement)
  • 3 years of Sales and Business Development experience in Canada in Travel industry.
  • Advanced Excel, Word, Outlook, Salesforce, and Power Point experience.

Additional Required Experience :

  • Must be willing and able to travel internationally.
  • Ability and willingness to operate in a fast-paced, complex corporate environment and be agile.
  • Ability to travel nationally and internationally. Must have a passport and Driver License.
  • Ability to walk, stand & sit for prolong periods.
  • Ability to work well in a stressful environment and / or handle stressful situations.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Willingness to be exposed to both inside and outside environmental conditions.
