Responsibilities
- We develop industry-leading audio and movie solutions
- We help support our community of content creators and collaborate with game teams to provided optimized audio systems, solve complex audio challenges
- You will help develop a broad range of features and capabilities, i ncluding Mixing workflows, sound effect playback systems, DSP, content encoding / decoding, speech systems, interactive Music, video compression and more!
Qualifications
- High level of proficiency in C++. C# is desirable but not required.
- Experience developing, testing, and debugging code. Enthusiasm for well tested, maintainable, and easily readable code.
- Advanced software development skills such as an understanding of memory management, object-oriented design, multi-core utilization, etc.
- Experience working in a collaborative team environment
- Professional software development experience
You will bring..
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or similar
- 3+ years of professional software development experience
- Professional or recreational experience with audio or movie software development. (Such as audio mixing, sound effects, DSP, interactive music, speech, video compression, image processing, or programming with audio APIs such as Wwise.)
- Experience with Perforce, Confluence, JIRA
- Game industry experience, either with a central technology team or with a game studio
BC COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
The base salary ranges listed below are for the defined geographic market pay zones in these locations. If you reside outside of these locations, a recruiter will advise on the base salary range and benefits for your specific location.

Salary offered will be determined based on numerous relevant business and candidate factors including, for example, education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and business or organizational needs.
BASE SALARY RANGES
British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria) :
º $96,400 - $133,900 CAN Annually
Base salary is just one part of the overall compensation at EA. We also offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI / QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental / adoption leave), extended health / dental / vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees.
Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
