As the Organizational Capability Specialist, you will integrate behavioral learning principles, drive organizational design initiatives, lead the advancement of digital learning strategies, manage the Learning Management System (LMS), and focus on developing functional and behavioral capabilities for our global workforce.

Collaborate closely with HR professionals, department heads, and senior leadership to create and execute effective talent strategies aligned with Armstrong's business strategy and values.

Responsibilities Learning Needs Analysis & Content Design Collaborate with stakeholders to assess training needs and develop customized training programs that align with organizational objectives.

Collaborate with departments to develop Role KPIs, KSAs Design engaging digital learning content using various formats, including e-learning modules, videos, podcasts, and interactive simulations.

Analyze industrial processes and collaborate with subject matter experts to design relevant and impactful learning materials.

Leadership & Talent Development Coaching and mentoring key stakeholders, fostering a collaborative environment for effective implementation of organizational design strategies.

Develop & execute Armstrong’s Competency Framework across the organization. Identify high-potential employees and create individual development plans to nurture their skills and prepare them for future leadership roles.

Collaborate with leaders to support individual development needs and implement succession planning initiatives. Organizational Development Organizational Culture and Change : Contribute to shaping and maintaining a positive organizational culture that values learning and development.

Provide training and support to leaders and employees during times of organizational change to ensure successful transitions.

Includes periodic completion of employee engagement surveys, and development and execution of action plans. Organizational Design : Collaborate with department heads and employees to gather insights on job functions, skills, and performance expectations.

Develop and maintain accurate and detailed job descriptions for all positions within the organization. Lead root cause analysis initiatives to identify and address underlying issues affecting organizational performance.

Digital Learning Strategy & Learning Management Systems (LMS) Develop and execute a comprehensive digital learning strategy aligned with organizational goals, utilizing the latest technologies and methodologies.

Identify opportunities to integrate digital learning into employee development, including onboarding, skill enhancement, and leadership development.

Administer full-cycle user management, including setting up processes, creating new users, managing roles and permissions, and verifying and tracking user progress.

Plan and test functionality, tools, and features before implementation. Evaluate and partner with vendors to enhance the organization’s learning ecosystem.

Collaborate with vendors to integrate their solutions into the LMS, ensuring seamless user experiences. Collaborate with IT teams to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, ensuring the LMS meets evolving organizational needs.

Behavioral & Technical Learning Interventions Apply behavioral learning theories to design experiences that build managerial and individual capabilities.

Develop technical learning content by collaborating with subject matter experts that effectively supports the continuous growth and proficiency of our workforce in alignment with organizational goals.

Facilitate and deliver training programs, workshops, and webinars, incorporating digital learning methodologies. Establish metrics and evaluation methods to assess the impact and effectiveness of training programs.

Competencies Proven experience with instructional technologies like Articulate, Captivate etc. Experience in LMS administration (preferably Cornerstone), Strong analytical skills with the ability to conduct root cause analysis and implement data-driven solutions.

Proven experience in developing comprehensive job descriptions and contributing to organizational design initiatives. Exceptional interpersonal skills, effective decision-making abilities, and strong communication capabilities.

Ability to collaborate and work cooperatively in a team environment. Proven self-starter with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Exceptional project management and organizational skills. Proficiency in MS Word and Excel. Adaptability to work with new technologies and embrace innovation.

Education & Experience Post-secondary degree in a related field (e.g., Human Resources, Educational Technology, Business Administration, Adult Education, etc.

5 - 7 years of directly related work experience. Strong knowledge and experience working with Learning Management Systems structure, functionality, and reporting.
