Lead Hand

Key roles and accountabilities : MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE IN FOOD MANUFACTURING INDUSTRY

• Distribute and assign work based on production schedule.
• Co-ordinate and schedule the activities of production line workers who operate processing machines and grade, test, and package products.
• Under direction from Production Supervisor, establish methods to meet production schedules, resolve work problems and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality.
• Check and weigh materials and products and complete required production reports.
• Produce product labels for assigned work area.
• Identify potential quality concerns prior to processing products.
• Ensure processing machines are performing at maximum efficiency by being aware of the basic operational processes of the machines and knowing how to resolve simple irregularities.

Immediately report large-scale mechanical failures to the Production Manager / Supervisor.

• Conduct employee training as required in new procedures and implementations.
• Provide orientation to all new employees in reference to the specific hazards of the job, controls, and protection.
• Monitor employee performance and adherence to the Company's processes and health & safety program.
• Track and report employee time and attendance for tardiness or consistent absenteeism.
• Other related duties as may be required in the day-to-day operations of the Company.
• A Team Lead must always be on duty during production.

Required Qualifications :

• Completion of High School and / or similar experience.
• 3-5 years experience in a food processing environment.
• Good command of the English language both written and oral.
• Organized, detail oriented and accurate.
• Flexibility to work overtime.
