Your New Role
Reporting to the Senior Project Manager, Retail Construction, the Assistant Project and Tenant Manager involves managing your projects, as well as working collaboratively on other initiatives.
You’ll be based in their Calgary office, with travel across Western Canada up to 30%.
Key responsibilities include managing the renovation of existing retail properties and overseeing smaller-scale construction projects for stand-alone retail buildings.
You will be responsible for coordinating project budgets, schedules, and timelines, ensuring deliverables are achieved within agreed parameters.
Regularly reviewing project plans, submitting status reports, and resolving any issues with internal teams are critical to maintaining project progress.
You will also collaborate with tenants, ensuring their plans are aligned and coordinating utilities and other service installations.
Finally, you will handle the project closeout process, overseeing documentation, tenant possession, inspections, and utility coordination.
What Sets You Apart
Candidates should possess a minimum of 3 years of working experience, coupled with a post-secondary degree or education in a construction, architectural, or engineering-related field.
Knowledge of building systems, building codes, and construction procedures is essential, along with proficiency in project management tools and methodologies.
Successful candidates will bring strong communication and collaboration skills, a positive attitude, and proven experience in managing timelines and budgets.
The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment is critical. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook is required, while knowledge of JDE and AutoCAD is an asset.
