The internship experience enables students to participate in professional activities with Volvo Financial Services by working on important and innovative projects.

Internships are structured learning experiences where interns and our full-time professionals work together on projects and allow students to integrate knowledge and skills in a mutually beneficial manner to the students and Volvo Financial Services.

VFS Canada is currently looking for a post-secondary student for a Financial Planning & Analysis Intern / Co-op paid position to provide support with various projects and tasks to support the business.

The intern will assist with a variety of task-oriented work with the Financial Planning and Analysis Team including, but not limited to improving existing processes, performing statistical analysis, and assisting in data pre-processing.

Internship Duration : January - April 2025

Location : 238 Wellington St E, suite 300, Aurora, ON L4G 1J5, Canada

Responsibilities

  • Work with the different stakeholders to collect project business requirements
  • Interact with different departments as needed to facilitate meetings ask questions, document findings, and perform follow-ups
  • Automate the reports and provide alternative solutions
  • Assist the team with the data warehouse project
  • Work on Business intelligence projects and data preparation
  • Actively enrolled in college or university
  • Highly motivated, dynamic person who has a knack for detail, organization, patience, and a desire to learn
  • Strong communication skills, ability to work with other business areas
  • Out-of-the-box thinking for business requirements with good analytical skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Experience working with Oracle SQL and / or data visualization tools would be highly suitable and preferable
  • Proficiency with Microsoft power suites (Power Apps, Automate, BI)
  • Basic knowledge of the role of finance and financial markets
