Job description

Are you an administrative-minded fixer who thrives in a professional corporate environment? We are currently seeking a dedicated Office Maintenance Labourer to join a premier, globally recognized employer at their corporate office in Aurora, Ontario. This temporary 4-to-5-week contract is an exceptional opportunity to get your foot in the door with a massive market leader. Operating within the Randstad Operational sector, this position offers a steady, reliable schedule from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with a competitive compensation rate of $20.00 per hour. If you possess a diverse knack for skilled trades, general labor, and high-level workplace professionalism, this Office Maintenance Labourer role is designed for you.

As an Office Maintenance Labourer, you will serve as the backbone of daily facility operations, ensuring that the corporate workspace remains functional, safe, organized, and aesthetically pristine. Unlike traditional industrial general labor roles, this position is situated entirely within a modern corporate office, requiring a unique blend of physical capability and exceptional interpersonal skills. Through the Randstad Operational division, we connect talented individuals like you with top-tier employers who value precision and a strong work ethic. In this role, your daily efforts will directly impact the comfort and efficiency of hundreds of corporate professionals, making your skilled trades and general maintenance contributions highly visible and deeply valued.

Given the secure nature of our client’s corporate operations and the prestigious standing of this massive employer, there are strict compliance measures in place for all incoming personnel. To be considered for this Office Maintenance Labourer position, candidates must successfully pass a comprehensive criminal record check as well as a mandatory credit check. These vetting procedures ensure the highest levels of safety, data integrity, and corporate responsibility within the facility. If you are a trustworthy, proactive individual with a background in general repairs, handyman services, or facilities support, this short-term engagement provides a stellar reference for your resume and an inside look into a world-class organizational infrastructure.

Advantages
• Competitive compensation package paying a flat rate of $20.00 per hour.
• Desirable and consistent daytime working hours from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday.
• Incredible networking opportunity to work within a massive, nationally recognized, top-tier employer.
• Clean, modern, and highly professional corporate office environment located centrally in Aurora.
• Short-term 4-to-5-week contract length, ideal for keeping your skills sharp or transitioning between long-term roles.
• Supportive oversight from dedicated Randstad Operational consultants who guide you through your entire employment journey.

Responsibilities
• Execute general facility maintenance, simple building repairs, and routine office upkeep as directed by management.
• Carefully disassemble, move, reassemble, and configure corporate office furniture, cubicles, and meeting room layouts.
• Utilize basic hand and power tools safely to patch drywall, tighten fixtures, adjust doors, and handle minor hardware fixes.
• Conduct regular walkthroughs of the office environment to identify safety hazards, burnt-out lighting, or items requiring repair.
• Assist with receiving, organizing, and distributing heavy office shipments, supplies, and facility assets.
• Maintain clean, organized, and secure storage rooms, utility closets, and maintenance workshop areas.
• Respond promptly and courteously to internal facility service requests submitted by corporate staff members.
• Adhere strictly to all corporate health, safety, and environmental protocols while performing physical tasks.

Qualifications
• Proficiency with general hand tools, power tools, and basic maintenance equipment aligned with skilled trades.
• Strong physical stamina and mechanical aptitude, with the ability to safely lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs regularly.
• Outstanding oral and written communication skills to interact professionally with corporate executives and team members.
• Excellent time management and organizational abilities to prioritize multiple facility requests throughout the day.
• Strong problem-solving mindset to troubleshoot minor structural, mechanical, or cosmetic issues within the office.
• High attention to detail, ensuring that furniture setups and repairs meet corporate aesthetic and safety standards.
