VFS Canada is currently looking for a post-secondary student for a Financial Planning & Analysis Intern / Co-op paid position to provide support with various projects and tasks to support the business.
The intern will assist with a variety of task-oriented work with the Financial Planning and Analysis Team including, but not limited to improving existing processes, performing statistical analysis, and assisting in data pre-processing.
Internship Duration : January - April 2025
Location : 238 Wellington St E, suite 300, Aurora, ON L4G 1J5, Canada
Responsibilities
- Work with the different stakeholders to collect project business requirements
- Interact with different departments as needed to facilitate meetings ask questions, document findings, and perform follow-ups
- Automate the reports and provide alternative solutions
- Assist the team with the data warehouse project
- Work on Business intelligence projects and data preparation
- Actively enrolled in college or university
- Highly motivated, dynamic person who has a knack for detail, organization, patience, and a desire to learn
- Strong communication skills, ability to work with other business areas
- Out-of-the-box thinking for business requirements with good analytical skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Experience working with Oracle SQL and / or data visualization tools would be highly suitable and preferable
- Proficiency with Microsoft power suites (Power Apps, Automate, BI)
- Basic knowledge of the role of finance and financial markets
