THE OPPORTUNITY The Director of Corporate Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) will report into the Vice President of Financial Planning & Analysis. The successful candidate will maintain a robust hands-on approach to financial management, actively engaging in all aspects of the financial forecasting process. They will foster a culture of continuous improvement, consistently seeking and implementing innovative strategies to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and strategic insight within the financial planning and analysis function. This individual will join a team of our most trusted finance professionals, who will work together to execute the financial and business strategies for the firm. KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead the preparation of accurate and insightful financial forecasts, variance analyses, and performance reports to provide actionable insights to senior management.
  • Create and maintain financial models to evaluate different scenarios, assess the impact of business initiatives, and support investment decisions.
  • Provide proactive and data-driven financial insights to support strategic decision-making and guide the overall business strategy.
  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the financial health of the organization and track progress toward strategic goals.
  • Lead the monthly financial reporting process, including variance analysis and management reporting.
  • Partner with business unit FP&A teams to thoroughly understand each business segment and challenge performance as needed.
  • Assist in the requirements gathering, product selection, and implementation of a new budgeting and planning software solution to optimize financial operations.
  • Support improvements in financial processes, systems, and reporting capabilities to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Present financial information, analyses, and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
  • Escalate financial issues, breaches of cash balance targets and KPIs that exceed expectations.
  • Create ad hoc analysis as required by evolving business needs.
  • Oversee and enhance the post-investment review dashboard, providing recommendations to mitigate variances between actual and underwritten rates of return.
  • CANDIDATE PROFILE

  • Minimum of a CPA and a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics; An MBA or relevant professional designation (., CFA, CBV) would be a significant asset.
  • Minimum 7 years of financial leadership experience; Experience in the real estate industry, or in the multifamily sector would be preferred.
  • Over 4 years’ experience managing an FP&A Finance function.
  • Previous leadership experience is required.
  • Experience building and supporting complex financial models, developing & monitoring metrics, and preparing advanced analytic analysis.
  • Proven ability to build positive long-term business relationships; Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders.
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and a results-driven mindset.
