Our client subsidiary of an automotive corporation, provides retail, leasing and wholesale financial services across Canada looking to hire a data analyst.

About the Opportunity

Due to business transformation, team is growing and there are multiple new projects, EDP (Electronics Data processing) project, supporting business users to utilize the data, improving data capability, etc.

Data Analyst team will be focused on existing data warehouse function, checking updates, troubleshoot data migration, ad hoc business queries, collecting business requirements to make necessary changes in the existing warehouse, creating BRD, development is done in the US, documenting transformation, UAT, production validation, production support, multiple releases at the same time (during BRDF, UAT, production release),

In terms of data literacy training program where they post classrooms sessions for power users. This Data analyst will host those training sessions for creating basic SQL queries and Tableau reporting.

About You

Min 3 to 5 years of total experience with data warehousing, data mining and analysis, relational database management system concepts, reporting

Proven experience in understanding stakeholder stakeholders’ requirements

Strong SQL experience - stored procedures, writing complex queries, indexing, etc.

Min 2 years - Tableau for reporting

Bachelor’s degree - IT or Computer Science or Data management or Mathematics or Statistics

Be able to commute - 3 days onsite to Markham

Bonus Items :

Finance knowledge due to migrating existing data to ADP (accounting concepts, financial reporting, how to read financial statement)

Salary Range

$90,000 / year
