Come join our Permitting & Management group as an Environmental Planner / Environmental Project Manager in Ontario!

We have an exciting opportunity are lookin for an Environmental Planner / Environmental Project Manager with previous Environmental Assessment experience .

This role offers a hybrid working environment and can be based at any of our offices in Ontario. We could also consider applicants based near any of our offices in Canada as long as they have at least 5 years of Environmental Assessment experience with exposure to Ontario Provincial Environmental Assessment Standards.

Please note on your resume what Environmental Assessments or Environmental Impact Assessments that you have worked on as this experience will be key to the role.

About the Environment Permitting & Management Group :

The Environmental Permitting and Management team comprises over 100 employees at all levels involved in keystone projects throughout their lifecycle : from their early assessment of key constraints to strategic development of regulatory approvals processes to compliance management through construction and operations.

Your role within the Team :

  • Support all aspects of environmental assessments for municipal, provincial, and federal processes.
  • Coordinate and guide efforts to obtain and comply with environmental approvals / permits for projects from regulatory agencies (municipal, provincial, and federal).
  • Act as a project manager responsible for the development and management of scope, budget, schedule, and quality.
  • Support the development and implementation of consultation and engagement programs.
  • Independently coordinate and manage external subcontractors.
  • Assist with the development of proposals, qualification documents and other business development related activities.
  • Help to grow environmental planning / environmental assessment market share in strategic markets with a primary focus on Ontario and the Greater Toronto / Hamilton Area.

The Ideal Candidate :

  • Bachelor’s degree in environmental planning, Environmental Science, or related degree.
  • 5-10 years of related experience in managing / coordinating environmental assessments and securing construction permits / approvals, including experience in Ontario.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced consulting environment.
  • Full or Provisional membership in a professional body is an asset (e.g., RPP, PMP, EP).
  • Knowledge of and experience with project management fundamentals including cost control, scope management and scheduling.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, including the ability to manage multiple assignments at one time.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in the English language.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license.

Compensation Range :

Expected compensation for this role is between $84,000 - $116,000 annually. Base salaries are determined according to several parameters like skills, experience, location, and potential impact on the role.
