In this role, you will be responsible for managing, optimizing, and securing enterprise-level SQL Server environments while supporting high-availability systems and mission-critical applications. The ideal candidate brings extensive hands-on database administration experience, strong expertise in SQL Server Always On environments, and a proven ability to support complex, large-scale systems in secure environments.

Responsibilities :
Develop and implement procedures to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and timelinessImplement security measures including access controls, encryption, and compliance standardsMonitor database performance, identify issues, and apply corrective measuresDesign, support, and maintain SQL Server Always On High Availability and Disaster Recovery solutionsCreate, modify, and optimize SQL scripts, stored procedures, views, triggers, and agent jobsPerform database migrations, including on-prem and Azure Cloud environmentsSupport SAP, HRIS, and enterprise systems through performance tuning and optimizationBuild and maintain SSIS packages and ETL processesDevelop SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) reports and support PowerBI modelsInstall, configure, and maintain SQL Server instancesProvide Level 2 technical support and collaborate with Level 1 support teamsAutomate database tasks using PowerShell scriptingMaintain comprehensive documentation of database configurations, procedures, and standardsParticipate in patching cycles, testing, deployments, and production supportSubmit status reports, timesheets, and ensure proper knowledge transfer documentationRequirements :
University or College degree in a related fieldMinimum 10 years of Database Administration experience within the last 15 yearsMinimum 36 months of recent experience working with Microsoft SQL Server 2016 or higher in a Canadian federal or provincial government environmentMinimum 36 months supporting production databases in an Always On High Availability and clustered SQL environmentProven experience working closely with application development teamsHands-on experience designing and supporting SQL Server Always On Availability GroupsStrong expertise in database performance tuning, optimization, and troubleshootingExperience with SSRS, SSIS, ETL processes, and PowerShell scriptingCertifications related to database administration are considered an assetApply now to this Senior Database Administrator role for immediate consideration.
