LPS Lead
We have an exciting opportunity to join our Lean Performance Systems (LPS)Team!. The LPS organization has overall responsibility for the development and deployment of S&C’s Lean Performance Systems.
Team members in this group provide a variety of services to all S&C organizations including improvement project leadership, coaching, facilitation, training, and subject matter expertise.
The primary contribution of the Lead - LPS is to help leaders and team members achieve improvements in safety, quality, delivery, cost, and human development.
While doing so this individual also builds leader and team member problem-solving and coaching capabilities and reinforces S&C values and associated expectations.
Other contributions include developing and deploying lean methods and tools and developing standards for same.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Facilitate improvement projects while collaborating with business owners at multiple (Team Leader, Supervisor and Manager) levels within S&C Canada.
- Conduct time studies, develop Standard Work and facilitate Kaizen activities
- Coach leadership through activities related to problem solving, measurement & analysis to continually improve the process, and coaching for improvement
- Working closely with team members and leadership to ensure the changes implemented in the process are sustained
- Assist and help develop continuous improvement approaches, methods, and tools
- Deliver training related to LPS (., standardized work, problem solving,
- Provide subject matter expertise where needed
- Occasional travel to offsite meetings may be required.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelors degree in engineering, business or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience successfully leading improvement projects. Experience in the automotive / aerospace sector considered an asset.
- Demonstrated ability successfully leading the development and implementation lean processes and tools.
- Demonstrated success applying change management principles and tools
- Demonstrated coaching and teamwork skills along with strong written and oral communication skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to communicate effectively in diverse settings
- Excellent project management and facilitation skills demonstrated by good organization and time management skills
- Previous supervisory experience considered an asset
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
Physical Effort
Normal or frequent minor physical effort required for the day-to-day activity in the workplace. May involve standing, sitting, walking, climbing stairs and lifting / moving / using objects or equipment up to 5kg / 11lbs
Travel
Some travel required. May be required to travel offsite for company related functions.
