Spectrum Health Care is looking for Home Care Physiotherapy Assistants (OTA / PTA) starting at $ - $ / visit plus travel.

The role will support clients in Downtown, East and West Toronto regions.

Job Description

• In conjunction with the Occupational Therapist / Physiotherapist and other members of the multidisciplinary team, develops, implements and evaluates individual programs
• Provides therapy sessions as instructed including balancing and strengthening exercises for seniors at risk of falling
• Attends client / patient related meetings to report on assessment findings and discusses plans for interventions
• Implements treatment plans based on assessment, client / patient input and in conjunction with the client / patient’s integrated care plan
• Maintains accurate and complete clinical records on client / patients accordingly to the established procedure and ensures the confidentiality of these records

Qualifications

• Certificate or Diploma in the Occupational Therapist Assistant or Physiotherapy Assistant Program from a recognized community college program or school registered with the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities or equivalent in training and experience
• Able to meet the physical demands of the job as described
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a member of a multidisciplinary team
• Proficiency in the use of technology (MS Office, proprietary software).
• Current police check for work with the vulnerable sector
• Valid G driver’s license, third party insurance coverage must be maintained at $1,000, and must have a reliable vehicle.
