Job description

Adecco is currently hiring a Clinical Data Manager for a 1-year opportunity with a leading medical device and healthcare technology organization in Ottawa, ON. This role is ideal for professionals with experience in clinical data management, clinical trials, electronic data capture (EDC), clinical research, CTMS, GCP compliance, and clinical database management.

As a Clinical Data Manager, you will support all phases of clinical studies, from study start-up through close-out, ensuring clinical data is collected, validated, and maintained in compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards. You will play a critical role in delivering accurate, high-quality databases that support statistical analysis and clinical decision-making.

  • Pay Rate: $96000-$110000/year

  • Location: Ottawa, ON | Travel up to 5% within Canada and the United States

Responsibilities:
Clinical Data Management

  • Design, develop, and maintain Electronic Data Capture (EDC) systems and clinical study databases.

  • Create and maintain case report forms (CRFs), validation rules, and edit checks.

  • Perform data review, cleaning, and validation activities to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency.

  • Investigate data discrepancies, missing information, and query resolutions.

Clinical Trial Support

  • Support data management activities throughout study start-up, conduct, and closeout.

  • Maintain study documentation, data management files, and archival records.

  • Generate reports and data review tools for clinical monitors and study teams.

  • Collaborate with clinical operations, biostatistics, and project teams to support study objectives.

Compliance & Quality

  • Ensure compliance with study protocols, GCP guidelines, regulatory requirements, and company procedures.

  • Support implementation and maintenance of FDA 21 CFR Part 11 compliant systems.

  • Participate in quality control and quality assurance activities.

  • Assist with corrective actions and continuous process improvements.

Training & Project Support

  • Train investigative sites and study team members on data management processes and systems.

  • Participate in investigator meetings and support study-related training activities.

  • Support EDC and CTMS implementation, optimization, and user adoption initiatives.

  • Contribute to project planning, timelines, and study deliverables.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in health sciences, Clinical Research, Biological Sciences, Medical Technology, or a related field.

  • Minimum 6 years of experience in Clinical Data Management, Clinical Research, Clinical Trials, EDC, or CTMS environments.

  • Strong understanding of Clinical Electronic Data Capture (EDC) and Clinical Trial Management Systems (CTMS).

  • Knowledge of ICH-GCP, clinical trial regulations, and FDA 21 CFR Part 11 requirements.

  • Experience designing databases, CRFs, validation checks, and data review processes.

  • Strong project coordination, planning, and prioritization skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

  • Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory, Diagnostics, or In-Vitro Diagnostics (IVD) experience.

  • Experience interpreting laboratory results and clinical data.

  • Experience implementing EDC or CTMS solutions for clinical studies.

  • Experience supporting regulated healthcare or medical device environments.

  • Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
