Position Summary
Amphenol High Speed Products Group is seeking a Senior Product Line Manager - High Speed I/O Connectors to lead the strategy, growth and execution of a strategically important portfolio serving hyperscale data center, AI/ML, networking, server and storage customers.
The Senior Product Line Manager will have broad business and strategic ownership of assigned product platforms and will be responsible for translating customer and technology roadmaps into product strategy, investment priorities and profitable growth. This role requires a strong combination of commercial leadership, technical understanding, financial judgment and customer engagement, with direct interaction across major global customers and senior internal leadership.
Key Responsibilities
• Own the global strategy, roadmap and business performance for assigned High Speed I/O product platforms.
• Develop multi-year growth plans based on customer roadmaps, market trends, competitive dynamics and emerging technologies.
• Lead strategic customer engagement to identify future requirements and secure key design wins.
• Prioritize the NBO pipeline and align Engineering, Sales and Operations around the highest-value opportunities.
• Own revenue, forecast, pricing, margin and profitability performance for the product portfolio.
• Build market models including TAM/SAM, competitive share and customer penetration.
• Lead business cases for major CapEx, NRE, capacity expansion, vertical integration and new-product investments.
• Partner with Engineering to define next-generation product requirements and prioritize development resources.
• Partner with Operations and Supply Chain on manufacturing strategy, capacity, dual sourcing and supply continuity.
• Lead product lifecycle decisions, including new-product introduction, product extensions, cost-down initiatives and portfolio rationalization.
• Monitor competitive and technology trends and recommend actions to strengthen market position.
• Serve as the product-line subject matter expert for customers, Sales, Engineering, Operations and executive leadership.
• Mentor junior product managers and support continuous improvement of product-management processes.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Engineering, Business or related field; technical degree strongly preferred.
• 7-10+ years of relevant experience, including product management, engineering, technical business development, strategy or commercial leadership.
• Demonstrated experience managing technically complex products or product portfolios.
• Experience in high-speed connectors/interconnects, data center hardware, networking, semiconductor or related electronic systems strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to develop product strategy, market models, financial business cases and investment recommendations.
• Experience working directly with large OEM, hyperscale, ODM/JDM or technology customers preferred.
• Strong commercial judgment with experience in pricing, negotiation, margin management and business-case development.
• Ability to understand complex technical concepts and connect technology decisions to customer and business outcomes.
• Strong executive communication and presentation skills.
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams without direct reporting authority.
• Ability to operate effectively in a fast-moving, global organization with significant ambiguity.
• Willingness to travel internationally and domestically (20-35%)
• MBA preferred but not required.
