Job description

Adecco is currently hiring an Administrative & Accounting Coordinator for a dynamic opportunity supporting both accounting operations and office administration in Ottawa, ON. This role is ideal for candidates with experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, invoicing, bookkeeping, reconciliations, and administrative support.

As an Accounting & Administrative Coordinator, you will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting accounting processes, and ensuring efficient day-to-day office operations.

  • Pay Rate: Starting at $25/hour (depending on experience)

  • Location: Ottawa, ON

  • Schedule: 2 to 3 days/week in office

  • Job type: Temporary with possibility of extension | Full-time

Responsibilities:
Accounting & Financial Administration

  • Process customer billing and invoicing accurately and efficiently.

  • Review and reconcile corporate credit card statements.

  • Process accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payment transactions.

  • Assist with month-end reconciliations and financial reporting.

  • Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation.

  • Monitor outstanding invoices and follow up on discrepancies when required.

Administrative Support

  • Provide general administrative support to office operations.

  • Maintain electronic and physical filing systems.

  • Coordinate office supplies, records management, and administrative processes.

  • Assist with special projects and additional administrative duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, finance, or administrative support.

  • Experience with QuickBooks, Sage, Vantage/Vision, or similar accounting/ERP systems.

  • Strong understanding of billing, invoicing, AP, AR, and payment processing.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Outlook, and Word.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Excellent organizational, multitasking, and time-management skills.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.

  • Ability to work independently and manage confidential information professionally.

  • Post-secondary education in Accounting, Business Administration, Bookkeeping, or a related field is an asset.

  • Experience in a fast-paced office environment is an asset.

  • Knowledge of financial reporting, reconciliations, and month-end processes is an asset.

  • Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
