Purpose :
- Tointegrate translate and oversee design of businessdriven issues andpriorities into enterpriselevel business intelligence and dataanalytics solutions using leadingedge data development approacheswith expertise / knowledge in data modelling data architecture andinfrastructure data development (including dimensional modelling)as well as reporting (e.g. dashboard)development.
- Toprojectmanage (e.g. design deliver and implement) complexI&IT projects and various agile business solutions requiredto meet crossministry business intelligence and data analyticsactivities and priority projects including leading and supportingenterprisewide projects that may involve work with other ministriesjurisdictions and the broader publicsector.
- Towork within the ministrys business analytics data warehouseenvironment and support efforts to enhance and maintaininfrastructure and applications and providing technical expertiseto the development and implementation of various I&ITsolutions while working with CYSSC ITS and enterprisepartners.
- Tolead data development and maintenance activities that supportstrategic initiatives and priority projects across the ministryincluding the preparation of adhoc statistical information anddeveloping research / analytical data for reporting and analyticswhile ensuring appropriate data quality integrity privacy andsecurity.

Experience :
- Experiencein Power BI software development and a number of years of practicalexperience (minimum 3years)
- Experience in other MicrosoftBI stack e.g. SSAS SSRSSSIS
- Experience with scripting andprogramming
- Experience working withMS SQL Server on premise and within AzureEnvironment
- Experience withdataspecific tasks including database management SQL querying datamodelling online analyticalprocessing
- Experience with designingand mapping multidimensional data models report models intobusiness insights
- Experiencebuilding testing and implementing complex reports dashboards andother objects
- Experience prototypingto develop business requirements for futureimplementation
- Ability to assist inthe requirements gathering analysis and subsequentdevelopments
- Ability to conduct unittests and assist in test preparations to ensure dataintegrity
- Work closely with ProjectManager UX / UI Designers Quality Assurance Analysts and otherDevelopers
- Experience working withinan Agile software development life cycle e.g.Scrum / Kanban
- Understanding ofaccessibility compliance requirements e.g. AODA WCAG2.0
