About the Role:
Vitacore is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accountant to support the day-to-day financial operations of our growing business.
This role is ideal for someone early in their accounting career who is eager to learn, develop their skills, and grow alongside a rapidly evolving company. The successful candidate will be comfortable managing routine and repetitive accounting tasks with accuracy and consistency while also being interested in gaining broader exposure to financial operations as the business continues to grow.
We are looking for someone who is dependable, organized, willing to take ownership of their work, and excited by the opportunity to help build and improve processes rather than simply inherit an established accounting function.
Responsibilities include:
- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting transactions.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Prepare and post journal entries.
- Complete bank and credit card reconciliations.
- Maintain accurate financial records within QuickBooks.
- Assist with month-end and year-end accounting processes.
- Prepare invoices and monitor outstanding receivables.
- Support expense reporting and payment processing.
- Assist with payroll-related accounting entries and reconciliations as required.
- Maintain organized supporting documentation and financial records.
- Assist with preparation of internal financial reports.
- Support the Director of Finance with budgeting, forecasting, audit preparation, and other financial projects.
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and administrative efficiencies.
- Assist with other accounting and finance-related duties as required.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Previous bookkeeping or accounting experience is preferred; strong recent graduates will also be considered.
- Experience with QuickBooks or QuickBooks Online.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Comfortable performing repetitive and transactional accounting work.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to work independently while knowing when to ask questions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Curious, proactive, and eager to learn.
- Comfortable working within a fast-paced and evolving business where processes and priorities may change.
- Interest in developing a long-term career in accounting and finance.
Compensation:
- $50,000 to $60,000 annual salary.
