Job description
Adecco is currently hiring a full-time Senior Developer Technical Lead with 10+ years of experience to support the design and delivery of cloud-native, enterprise applications in a fast-paced environment. This role focuses on AWS technologies, distributed systems, and event-driven architecture , with opportunities to contribute to system modernization and technical leadership.
  • Pay Rate: IC $75.00 - $90.00/hour | T4 $65.00 - $ 80.00/hour
  • Location: Toronto, ON
  • Shift: Monday to Friday | 8:00am - 4:30pm
  • Job type: Temporary | Full-time | 7-month contract with the possibility of extension

Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and support scalable cloud-based applications on AWS
  • Collaborate with architects, QA, business analysts, and operations teams
  • Analyze existing systems and enhance architecture, integrations, and workflows
  • Troubleshoot complex production and system integration issues
  • Contribute to technical design, code reviews, and release planning
  • Support CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and system monitoring
  • Drive best practices in coding standards, system reliability, and performance optimization
  • Mentor junior developers and promote knowledge sharing across teams
  • Participate in application modernization and optimization initiatives
Qualifications and Skills:
  • 10+ years in software development / cloud engineering
  • Strong experience with AWS services, including:
    • Lambda, Step Functions, API Gateway, CloudWatch, IAM
  • Experience with event-driven and microservices architecture
  • Strong background in:
    • DynamoDB, PostgreSQL, Amazon Redshift
    • SQL, data modeling, and performance tuning
  • Experience with streaming and integrations (Kinesis, DMS, CDC)
  • Hands-on experience with:
  • CI/CD pipelines, Git workflows, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/CloudFormation)
    • Strong troubleshooting skills in complex enterprise environments
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical mindset
  • Ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Proven ability to mentor and support team development
  • Proactive, accountable, and solution-oriented
  • AWS Certifications
  • Experience with AI integrations or automation
  • Knowledge of test automation frameworks
  • Experience with Jira workflows
  • Background in enterprise-scale systems and cloud environments
  • Mu st be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
