Adecco is currently hiring a DevOps Engineer for a full-time 1-year contract opportunity in Ottawa. This role is ideal for a highly technical DevOps professional who enjoys building scalable cloud infrastructure, automating deployment pipelines, and supporting enterprise-level application environments. In this position, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and cloud-native solutions, while ensuring system reliability, performance, and operational excellence across production environments. This role follows a hybrid work model requiring 12 days per month on-site in Ottawa.

- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

Responsibilities- Develop scripts and pipelines required in release processes, managing environments and deployment
- Resolve and support complex operational issues using advanced expertise in business applications and infrastructure
- Develop and implement automation initiatives to improve operational excellence and adopt best practices and tools
- Contribute technical expertise within scrum teams by resolving technical issues and sharing knowledge
- Build, maintain, and improve CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps to support integration, testing, and deployment
- Design, develop, and deploy containerized applications to ensure portability, scalability, and efficient resource usage
- Deploy and manage Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) environments integrated with Azure services
- Utilize GitHub for version control, collaboration, and efficient code management workflows
- Manage Kubernetes cluster health, scaling, performance, upgrades, patching, and troubleshooting
- Collaborate with stakeholders and subject matter experts to deliver project objectives and align with best practices
Qualifications- Must be eligible to work and reside within Canada
- University degree or college diploma in Computer Science, Software Development, or related field
- Minimum 7 years of experience in applications development and systems integration
- Minimum 7 years of DevOps and CI/CD experience including DevSecOps, version control, and pipeline automation
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure services
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub, Jenkins, Argo CD, Azure DevOps, Nexus, Tekton, and Azure Container Registry
- Experience with build automation tools such as Maven and Gradle
- Strong experience automating processes and improving operational workflows
- Experience supporting enterprise systems with focus on resiliency and availability
- Hands-on experience with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) and/or Red Hat OpenShift
- Knowledge of YAML configurations, Kustomize, and Helm is an asset
- Experience with authentication and certificate management is an asset
- Experience with tools such as CyberArk or AppViewX is an asset
- Experience with message queues such as AMQ and Spring integration is an asset
- Knowledge of SQL, Java, Unix scripting, and Node.js is an asset
- French is considered an asset
