Health & Wellness: Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage.
Balance: Generous PTO and holiday schedule.
Growth: Investment in your continued professional development and industry certifications.

Responsibilities
Operational Excellence & Strategy
End-to-End Oversight: Drive the daily pulse of the facility, managing grain intake, cleaning, sophisticated milling processes, blending, and high-speed packaging.
Performance Optimization: Engineer strategies to maximize extraction rates (yield) and throughput while maintaining rigorous quality benchmarks.
Asset Management: Modernize maintenance strategies by overseeing preventive and predictive programs to ensure 24/7 reliability.
Capital Projects: Lead the charge on facility upgrades and capital expenditure (CAPEX) projects to keep the plant at the cutting edge of milling technology.
Regulatory & Quality Leadership
Compliance Stewardship: Serve as the primary liaison for government and industry bodies, ensuring flawless reporting to Statistics Canada, CGC, and CFIA.
Food Safety Champion: Maintain a "gold standard" facility, adhering to HACCP, FSSC 22000, and GMP requirements. You will lead the team through external audits and champion immediate corrective actions.
EHS Excellence: Cultivate a "Safety First" environment, overseeing WCB/Labour Canada reporting and proactive incident prevention.
Leadership & Financial Acumen
People Development: Mentor and mobilize a diverse workforce of supervisors and technicians, fostering a culture of accountability and professional growth.
Board Engagement: Act as a key stakeholder in board-level meetings, providing operational insights to shape company direction.
Fiscal Responsibility: Manage the P&L for the plant, including budget forecasting, labor cost optimization, and utility efficiency

Qualifications
Educational Foundation: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Food Science, or Agriculture.
Industry Tenure: 10+ years within food manufacturing or grain milling, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership or Plant Manager capacity.
Technical Mastery: Deep knowledge of milling machinery; Oat processing experience is a significant competitive advantage.
Business Intelligence: Strong ability to interpret KPIs and financial statements to drive operational change.
Working Environment & Expectations
Setting: High-activity manufacturing environment (dust, noise, and machinery).
Agility: Ability to support operations during peak seasons, which may include extended hours or on-call availability.
Safety: Absolute commitment to PPE and industrial hygiene protocols.
