IT Audit Specialist

Adecco is currently hiring an IT Audit Specialist for a 12-month remote contract with the possibility of extension. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced audit professional with strong expertise in IT general controls, risk assessment, and financial reporting who thrives in a structured, detail-oriented environment.
As an IT Audit Specialist, you will be responsible for conducting and supporting audits focused on IT general controls (ITGCs), assisting with audit planning and execution, and ensuring compliance with internal audit standards. You will play a key role in evaluating risks, testing controls, and supporting audit reporting across a variety of systems and environments.

• Pay Rate: $90,000-$100,000/yr

Responsibilities:

• Support audits and assessments with a focus on evaluating IT General Controls (ITGCs)
  
• Assist with operational, compliance, financial, and IT audit engagements as required
  
• Conduct audits in accordance with the Institute of Internal Auditors International Professional Practices Framework
  
• Review prior audit documentation, including audit plans, risk assessments, and observations
  
• Participate in audit planning meetings and assist in updating audit programs based on risk assessments
  
• Review and maintain audit documentation, including process descriptions and system overviews
  
• Prepare audit planning memorandums and maintain accurate audit records
  
• Compile and manage audit evidence requests, following up to ensure timely delivery of required information
  
• Review and assess audit evidence to determine control design and operating effectiveness
  
• Perform walkthroughs, analyze processes, and test controls in accordance with audit procedures
  
• Update working papers, including Internal Controls over Financial Reporting (ICFR) documentation
  
• Assist in drafting audit observations, management letters, and final reports
  
• Participate in client closing meetings and present audit findings
  
• Organize and manage work to align with audit timelines and deliverables
  

Requirements:

• Minimum of one professional certification (CISA, CIA, CISSP, or CPA)
  
• At least 3 years of experience conducting ITGC audits in support of financial reporting
  
• Experience testing controls for applications, infrastructure, operating systems, and databases
  
• Strong knowledge of ITGC control areas, including: logical access, system security, change management, backup/recovery, and incident management
  
• Experience auditing IT systems across multiple environments, including applications, databases (SQL/Oracle), and operating systems (UNIX/Linux/Windows)
  
• Experience in audit planning, fieldwork, and reporting, including drafting audit observations
  
• Strong documentation and working paper preparation skills
  
• Experience with audit tools such as TeamMate/TeamMate+ is an asset
  
• Experience using data analytics tools (e.g., IDEA) is an asset
  
• Familiarity with AI-enabled tools to support audit processes is an asset
  
• Experience auditing cloud technologies and configurations is considered an asset
  
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
  
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a remote environment
