Your new role
For this role we are looking for a go-getter, someone with a sense of humor that isn’t afraid to take on challenges. Your responsibilities will primarily be centered around the timeline of the projects ensuring they stay on schedule and within budget.
Basic Duties Include :
- Monitoring project progress and creating project status reports.
- Schedule stakeholder meetings and facilitate communication between the PM and stakeholders throughout the project life cycle.
- Managing project documents such as the project plan, budget, schedule, and delivery of materials / equipment as directed by the PM.
- Assist, compile, and organize project procurement material and equipment. This includes shop drawings, submittals, purchase orders, and invoices for the day-to-day materials and quoted equipment ordered.
- Understand and perform document control functions, including tracking and assistance to the creating of RFI’s, transmittals and then tracking of the submittals to avoid unnecessary delays of information.
- Assist with Change order Documentation / Preparation including submittals and approvals.
- Assist in the review and submittal of shop drawings-confirming counts.
- Coordinate with the material supply chain to provide the needed supplies that meet the project’s schedule.
- Assist PM in preparing delivery schedules and ensure appropriate filing and paperwork.
- Collaborate with the PM / Safety Committee to provide all the site safety needs
What you'll need to succeed
To succeed in this role, we are looking for someone with previous experience in the electrical / construction industry. We are accepting applicants that may have a mix of experience (Journeyperson Ticket or Completion of Engineering Degree).
You will have experience with computer programs such as MS Office, Project, and Procore. We are looking for someone with knowledge of construction concepts and strong written and oral communication skills.
