Communitech is a hybrid organization headquartered in downtown Kitchener, Ontario. In-person connection is important to us, so we get together regularly for special events, collaboration days and team socials, and we ask our team members to work onsite from our Kitchener facility for a minimum of 2 days per week.

Responsibilities
Company gatekeeper for all project and employee related expenses; ensuring all transaction are recorded accurately and compliant with government funding agreements
Generate vendor payments via EFT and ACH payment systems on a bi-weekly basis
Problem solving and follow-up on missing supplier invoices
Manage both internally and externally inquiries
Maintain documents in accordance with government legislation
Meet accounting deadlines for accurate financial reporting
Ensure compliance with company procurement policy
Other duties as assigned. All duties subject to change.
Qualifications
1 to 2 years’ accounting experience in a fast pace organization
Strong communication skills with the ability to work across all levels
Ability to multi-task under tight deadlines while maintaining a positive attitude
Strong attention to detail and deadline oriented
Proficient with Google G-Suite products, specifically Sheets, Docs and Slides
Problem solver who takes initiative and works independently with minimal supervision
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
