RoleOverview :

The CGSupervisor (fulltime remote WFH) plays a critical role inoverseeing the creation and execution of computergenerated imagery(CGI) for our projects.

This position requires a deep understandingof visual effects pipelines industrystandard software andproduction methodologies.

The ideal candidate will have a strongcreative vision exceptional technical skills and excellentleadershipabilities.

KeyResponsibilities :

Collaborateclosely with the production team to establish project goalstimelines and technicalrequirements.

Provide artistic andtechnical direction to CG artists to ensure the delivery ofhighquality work that meets project standards and clientexpectations.

Evaluate projectbriefs scripts storyboards and concept art to identify potentialchallenges and develop effectivesolutions.

Manage and optimize theworkflow of the CG department to maximize efficiency andproductivity.

Conduct regularreviews of work in progress providing constructive feedback andguidance to teammembers.

Troubleshoot technicalissues and implement solutions to ensure smooth productionprocesses.

Stay informed aboutemerging trends technologies and techniques in the VFX industry andintegrate relevant innovations into ourworkflow.

Foster a collaborativeand supportive work environment that encourages creativity growthand professionaldevelopment.

Requirements

Provenexperience working as a CG Supervisor or similar role in the VFXindustry with a strong portfolio / IMDb page demonstrating expertisein CGI production and team management.

Ideally a person withexperience working in small and midsized studios is a better fitthan big studioexperience.

Proficiencyin industrystandard software such as Maya Houdini Nuke and relatedsoftware. Experience with Unreal Engine is a plus but not adealbreaker.

Indepth knowledge ofCGI techniques including modeling texturing lighting rendering andcompositing. Any scripting skills are abonus.

Excellent problemsolvingskills and the ability to think creatively to overcome technicalchallenges.

Strong leadershipabilities with experience mentoring and managing a team ofartists.

Effective communicationskills with the ability to articulate ideas clearly and collaborateeffectively with crossfunctionalteams.

A keen eye for detail and apassion for pushing the boundaries of visual storytelling throughinnovative CGI.

Flexibility towork in a fastpaced deadlinedriven environment with the ability toadapt to changing priorities and projectrequirements.

PreferredQualifications :

Bachelorsdegree or equivalent work experience in Computer Animation VisualEffects Computer Science or a relatedfield.

Previous experience workingon TV commercials short films and VFX formovies.

Familiarity with remotecollaboration tools and virtual productionworkflows.

Preferred residency inOntario or British ColumbiaCanada.

Must be eligible to workinCanada.

Bachelor's degree in Finance,Accounting, or a related field preferred or extensive industryexperience in the role.. CPA designation or equivalentqualification is preferred or working towards your designation.

Proven experience as a Production Accountant in the VFX industry.In-depth knowledge of tax credits and incentives related to filmand television production in Canada.
