Overview :
As a Web Researcher, you will play a critical role in supporting our organization's mission by conducting thorough research to identify a wide range of grant opportunities suitable for businesses and organizations across various sectors.
Your primary responsibility will be to scour the web for relevant grant programs, funding opportunities, and resources. This role will be carried out over 20 hours, assigned to a specific region of Canada to focus on.
Strong research skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to identifying opportunities are essential for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities :
Conducting Thorough Research :
Utilize various online resources, databases, and search engines to identify funding opportunities available to businesses and organizations.
Conduct comprehensive keyword searches and filters to narrow down relevant grant programs based on eligibility criteria, funding amounts, and application deadlines.
Take note of government initiatives, and funding announcements to ensure a proactive approach to grant research.
Identifying Grant Opportunities :
Identify a wide range of grant opportunities suitable for businesses and organizations across various sectors, including but not limited to agriculture, technology, healthcare, and education.
Evaluate the suitability of grant programs based on the specific needs and objectives assigned to you.
Compile a curated list of grant opportunities.
Region-Specific Focus :
Focus on a specific region of Canada assigned to conduct targeted research and identify grant opportunities tailored to the needs of businesses and organizations in that region.
Develop a deep understanding of the local business landscape, economic priorities, and funding priorities to effectively identify relevant grant programs.
Documentation and Reporting :
Document all relevant grant opportunities identified during the research process, in an easily legible format.
Provide regular updates on progress and findings, highlighting key insights and recommendations for further action.
Skills and Qualifications :
Strong research skills with the ability to effectively navigate online resources and databases.
Attention to detail and accuracy in gathering, organizing, and documenting information.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate findings clearly and concisely.
Proactive approach to identifying opportunities and staying updated on industry trends and developments.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet deadlines and deliverables.
Familiarity with grant funding processes and government funding programs is preferred but not required.
