Location: Remote / Canada-wide (board meetings virtual + occasional in-person in Calgary or Toronto)
Position Type: Paid Board Member (Independent Director) – Part-time advisory role
Compensation: Competitive annual retainer + performance incentives (commensurate with experience)
The Electronic Recycling Association (ERA) is a Canadian non‑profit organization founded in 2004. We are ISO‑certified (27001, 9001, 14001, 45001) and dedicated to reducing e‑waste while bridging the digital divide. We collect, securely wipe or destroy data from, refurbish, and donate computers, laptops, servers, and other IT equipment to charities, schools, and community organizations across Canada. With depots and pickup services in major cities from Vancouver to Halifax, ERA combines environmental responsibility, data security excellence, and community impact.
We are seeking an influential, industry‑respected leader to join our Board of Directors in a paid advisory capacity. This is not a traditional volunteer board seat — it is a compensated strategic role for a seasoned executive who will actively help shape ERA’s future.
As a Board Member with CIO‑level expertise, you will provide high‑impact guidance on technology strategy, data security innovation, IT asset management best practices, and network expansion. You will leverage your industry relationships to strengthen and grow ERA’s national and international partnerships.
