Our client, a top tier law firm located steps to Union Station seeks a Legal Assistant to support a partner and associate in its Corporate Commercial group.
This is a full time permanent role.
This is an ideal role for someone who has experience running all aspects of a busy practice. The role would be well suited for someone who has good proofreading skills and strong communication and attention to detail.
Responsibilities :
Assist with a large volume of corporate transactions Completion of corporate and minute book documents Initial preparation for vaulting of Wills, Powers of Attorney’s and other Estate Documents Proofreading and checking all assigned work Diarize and track deadlines Compile Record Books at the completion of the transactions Complete College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario renewals Handle all administrative details with respect to accounting, expenses, wires, opening and closing files, docketing, billing, book meetings and boardrooms etc.
Coordinating deliveries to doctor’s offices
Requirements :
Minimum five years’ previous experience as a Corporate legal assistant Successful completion of a related post-secondary Legal Assistant and / or Law Clerk program Handle time pressure and stress of multiple demands
Skills :
Microsoft 365 suite of Applications Strong technical skills with creating, numbering, styling and rebuilding documents Familiarity with iManage or a document management system Experience using DocuSign would be an asset Strong verbal and written communication Ability to problem solve and strong interpersonal skills
