The Role of Health & Safety Field Consultant

The Health & Safety Consultant is a field-based role providing advice, support, recommendations, and documentation to Peninsula clients in the Ottawa area.

Regular working hours are Monday to Friday from 9 : 00 a.m. to 5 : 30 p.m., with flexibility required based on client volume.

Successful hires may have opportunities for upward mobility.

Day-to-Day Duties and Responsibilities

  • Strong knowledge of the Ontario Occupational Health and Safety Act
  • Proactively following up with clients on advice and recommendations
  • Performing client installation visits
  • Providing relevant and correct advice, support, and solutions to clients
  • Liaising with government officials and third parties on behalf of clients
  • Completing internal reports following client visits
  • Reading and analyzing client policies and documentation
  • Advising clients on using Peninsula’s health and safety management system
  • Achieving internal key performance indicators

Education / Experience

  • A degree, diploma, or certificate from an accredited health and safety training program
  • Strong knowledge of the Ontario Occupational Health and Safety Act
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in health and safety

  • Class G Driver’s license
