The Role of Health & Safety Field Consultant
The Health & Safety Consultant is a field-based role providing advice, support, recommendations, and documentation to Peninsula clients in the Ottawa area.
Regular working hours are Monday to Friday from 9 : 00 a.m. to 5 : 30 p.m., with flexibility required based on client volume.
Successful hires may have opportunities for upward mobility.
Day-to-Day Duties and Responsibilities
- Strong knowledge of the Ontario Occupational Health and Safety Act
- Proactively following up with clients on advice and recommendations
- Performing client installation visits
- Providing relevant and correct advice, support, and solutions to clients
- Liaising with government officials and third parties on behalf of clients
- Completing internal reports following client visits
- Reading and analyzing client policies and documentation
- Advising clients on using Peninsula’s health and safety management system
- Achieving internal key performance indicators
Education / Experience
- A degree, diploma, or certificate from an accredited health and safety training program
- Strong knowledge of the Ontario Occupational Health and Safety Act
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in health and safety
