Regional Fire and Security Systems always provide thorough inspections and maintenance; we do not cut corners. We allow our technicians the time that they need to fully complete their work.
Responsabilités-Annual and monthly inspections on fire alarm, sprinkler, extinguishers, hoses, and emergency lighting systems.
- Verification of fire alarm systems and related equipment as per CAN / ULC S537 with good knowledge of OBC, OFC, and installation practices.
- Complete all fire-related repairs from the deficiency lists provided.-On-call both daytime and after hours on a rotational basis.
- Work in a way that will not endanger yourself or others.-Use or wear the equipment, protective devices or clothing that the legislation or company requires.
- Do not perform any task for which you are not competent.-Work safely in accordance with the company’s or the client’s health and safety policy and program and with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and applicable regulations.
- Complete pre-use inspections for equipment, as required.-Do not remove, displace or interfere with the use of any safeguards.
- Immediately report unsafe conditions and / or existence of any hazard to the supervisor.-Report all accidents, injuries, first aid and near-misses immediately to the supervisor.
- Advise other workers of unsafe conditions or work practices.-Participate in solving health and safety problems.-Provide recommendations to the supervisor to improve health and safety.
Qualifications- CFAA Registration is required- Ideally, a minimum of 3-5 Years Fire Alarm experience in Ontario- A broad knowledge of fire alarm systems and troubleshooting experience, as well as OBC, and OFC Codes and Standards- Good communication skills, the use of laptops for reports, as well as knowledge of Word, Excel, etc is required- The ability to deliver legible and complete reports and work orders- Valid G or G2 license with clean driving record - CCTV, Card Access and Intercom Experience an Asset- Programming experience is preferred.
