Construction Project Manager's Main Duties and Responsibilities include :
- Oversees total construction effort to ensure project is constructed in accordance with design, budget and schedule
- Lead and manage full cycle of institutional projects from ground up
- Responsible for overall project performance and reporting in areas including, but not limited to safety, cost / budget, schedule, quality and project status
- Draft and submit budget proposals and recommend subsequent budget changes where necessary.
- Monitors project performance, schedule, costs, equipment, manpower, materials, safety and environment, and quality control
- Conducts site tours, including safety inspections
- Lead by example to ensure policies, procedures and standards are adhered to
- Mentors, coaches, supervises and assesses performance of direct reports and other team members
- Oversees project from pre-construction to closeout.

- 10 years of Construction experience as a Construction Project Manager.
- Proven Track Record of completing at least one full cycle of a Institutional new build project
- Ability to manage projects valued at $20M or more.
- Gold Seal certification and / or PMP is a plus
- Experience managing large contracts involving trades, consultants, construction management firms.
- Post-secondary diploma in a construction related discipline
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of different construction methods, sequencing, potential problems, and timelines
- Familiar with project management and estimating software programs
- Knowledge of relevant construction law and building code
