The Toronto office has an opening for a Junior Hydraulic Modeler to join our Municipal team.
Duties :
- Assist in developing hydraulic models for the water, wastewater, and stormwater systems
- Perform necessary modeling tasks assigned by the project lead
- Involve in infrastructure assessment / planning studies including Master Plans, capacity assessments, etc.
- Assist with field tests, data analysis, and other relevant tasks as assigned
- Support different groups in projects related to studies and design
- Assist with proposals including scheduling, and organizing information
- Prepare technical memorandums / reports, create maps, etc.
- Perform any other technical tasks as assigned
Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Civil Engineering or a related field, from an accredited post-secondary institution
- Registered or eligible to apply for with the Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO).
- Familiarity with water, wastewater, and / or stormwater systems modeling and analysis
- Aptitude for meeting schedules and budgets
- Proven capabilities in planning and writing reports and other technical documents.
- Possess a strong ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with staff and clients
- Familiarity with commercially available hydraulic and hydrologic modeling software such as PCSWMM, HEC-RAS, InfoWater would be an asset
- Working knowledge of GIS tools.
- Ability to plan, organize and manage deadlines and field test requirements.
- Excellent command of the English language, both written and oral.
