National Occupational Health & Wellness Nurse Lead

Part-time Permanent

Location : Ontario

As an Occupational Health and Wellness Nurse Lead (RN) and a key member of our team, you will support the Director Occupational Health and Wellness Services in the national delivery of employer services programs in Ontario and across the country.

Accountabilities :

• Provide clinical nurse expertise and knowledge in the development, delivery and evaluation of programs.
• Provide direct nursing services to clients as assigned (i.e. preplacement nursing assessments, audiometric, vision and pulmonary function screening, immunization clinics and biometric clinics and health education)
• Maintain positive communication with clients internally and externally
• Work collaboratively with the Occupational Health and Wellness teams and our national staff
• Organize and coordinate various assessments and testing; plus projects as assigned
• Conduct research as required in relation Employer Services as assigned
• Update Sharepoint on clinical services, processes and protocols
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications / Experience :

Essential :

• Demonstrated success in a clinical nursing position
• Occupational Health audiometric, vision and pulmonary function testing / certification an asset
• Experience in biometric screening and flu immunization clinic delivery and coordination an asset
• Knowledge of occupational health legislation an asset.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen attention to details
• Superior customer service skills
• Excellent organizational skills
• Strong computer literacy knowledge
• Registered Nurse in good standing with his / her college
• Prefer a minimum of 3 to 5 years’ experience
• Experience with training and development, coaching and project management an asset
• Bilingual in English and French languages are considered an asset
• Valid drivers license and access to car
• Drug and alcohol testing certifications considered an asset.

Preferred :

This role requires the ability to remain highly organized with excellent time management. Expertise in training nurses one on one and in groups, along with training / webinar development experience.

It takes having patience, persistence, and the strong desire to achieve successful outcomes. Additional qualifications include proficiency with utilizing Microsoft Office programs such as Outlook, Word, and Excel at an intermediate-advanced level, and in presenting with a positive, friendly approach to training and coaching other nurses.

Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario is required.
