Role : To ensure that product is handled and kept in compliance with all internal policies, GMP and local and Federal Food Regulations (CFIA / HACCP).
Deliver product to the customer as ordered and meet appointment times.
Responsibilities
- Make sure that full and proper pre-trip inspection has been done and all paperwork filled out properly for the truck you are driving.
- Report any issues with the truck to Management ASAP.
- Check and count each customer’s order on a pallet as its being loaded onto truck.
- Make sure that each order for each customer is correct when delivering.
- Make sure that you get a customers signature on ALL invoices.
- Keep management informed of delays or waiting while on your run.
Requirements :
- Must have knowledge of temperature controlled products.
- Must have a class 3 - 1 driver’s license (air endorsement).
- Good math and writing skills.
- Must be fluent in English
- Must be at least 20 years of age.
- Power jack operators certificate would be considered an asset.
- Current food safe certificate (an asset).Not required but would be considered an asset
- Current level 1 first aid (an asset).not required but would be considered an asset
- Manual dexterity required for operating equipment.
- Continuous heavy lifting required.
- Must have two years commercial driving experience
- Clean commercial drivers abstract for 3 years
Working Conditions
- Exposure to wet / cold conditions.
- Exposure to excessive noise.
- Work involves inclement weather to include snow and ice which creates challenging driving conditions.
- Physically demanding (walking, standing, bending, lifting, pushing, pulling).
- Walking / standing for long periods of time.
- Heavy lifting is constant throughout your work day.
