Job Description
The House of Commons Digital Services and Real Property is currently looking to staff the IT Compliance Analyst position within the IT Security team.
The IT Compliance Analyst is responsible for helping to gather and organize all the regulations, policies, baselines, and rules that the organization must follow for IT compliance.
They also assess how well the current systems and processes meet these requirements and identify any gaps or areas that need improvement, comparing them to industry standards and best practices.
In this role, the analyst works with the broader IT security team in order to monitor and audit IT systems to find weaknesses, non-compliance and instances where the organization isn't following the necessary guidelines.
They work with IT managers and staff to come up with solutions to address these issues.
Additionally, the analyst helps develop and implement a training program to educate staff about IT compliance, ensuring that they understand and follow them correctly.
They also test and certify that staff are meeting these compliance requirements.

Qualifications
Education :
University degree in information technology, computer sciences or another related field, OR an acceptable combination of education, training and experience.
Experience :
- Experience helping to implement and support an IT compliance program;
- Experience researching and identifying IT compliance rules from different sources, such as regulations, business requirements, baselines and organizational policies;
- Experience helping to put IT compliance policies and controls in place as part of an IT compliance program;
- Experience taking part in or conducting IT compliance audits and tests, identifying problems, and suggesting ways to address them;
- Experience working with IT managers and experts across different IT areas to explain compliance requirements and offer support with tools, processes and provide additional expertise.
Assets :
Certifications related to IT Security audits (for example- CISA, GSNA, CISSP, CIA)
