My client is seeking a dynamic Manager, Personal Insurance (Auto). As a collaborative leader with a background in developing and implementing product changes within a regulated auto environment, you will be responsible for the financial success of your product portfolio.
This role encompasses product management, development, reporting, underwriting guidelines, policy language, and overall portfolio analysis.
You will partner with various departments, including pricing and application delivery, to deliver outstanding products.
Responsibilities :
- Financial Oversight : Manage the financial outcomes of the assigned product portfolio.
- Product Development : Create and maintain product roadmaps, including business cases and scope definitions.
- Cross-Functional Leadership : Lead and support teams in researching and analyzing industry and company data to drive initiatives.
- Market Insight : Stay informed on market trends, competitive environment, and regulatory actions to ensure optimal product offerings.
- Stakeholder Relationships : Foster productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Underwriting Management : Develop and maintain underwriting guidelines and procedures.
- Rate and Product Changes : Oversee the schedule and implementation of product and rate changes.
- Performance Management : Mentor and manage the performance of direct reports, identifying areas for improvement and developing performance improvement plans.
- Talent Development : Attract, develop, and retain insurance professionals to meet the strategic goals of the organization.
- Team Environment : Promote a culture of productivity, collaboration, professionalism, and continuous learning within the product business unit.
- Continuous Improvement : Commit to ongoing learning and leadership development.
- Additional Duties : Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications :
- Minimum of ten years of experience in the property and casualty insurance industry, with at least three years in a leadership role.
- Post-secondary education and / or completion of a Property and Casualty Industry Designation.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to influence and earn respect, credibility, and confidence.
- Strong decision-making abilities in complex and high-pressure situations.
- Excellent analytical, quantitative, and critical thinking skills, with the ability to conduct detailed analyses and propose effective solutions promptly.
- Exceptional interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills, with the ability to convey ideas persuasively and eloquently.
- Strong negotiation skills, with the ability to present information or arguments convincingly.
- Superior planning and organizing skills, with the ability to develop and prioritize plans, defining activities, resources, timelines, and cost estimates.
- Innovative mindset with the ability to pivot quickly.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Willingness and ability to travel as required.
