Position Overview
Reporting to the Senior Corporate Accountant, the Accounts Payable Specialist will be responsible for monthly invoice processing and assisting in the day-to-day financial administration of the company.
Primary Responsibilities
- Process and code invoices for accounts payable;
- Provide expense report support;
- Process payments for vendors on a weekly basis (cheques, EFTs, and wire transfers);
- Prepare monthly accrual schedules;
- Process intercompany invoices, reconcile intercompany balances, and prepare cash calls for mine sites and projects;
- Perform bank reconciliations;
- Prepare and update prepaid schedules;
- Assist with period-end close and financial reporting processes;
- Support various reporting functions, including journal entries, general ledger account analysis, cash reconciliation, and special projects;
- Provide documentation support for internal and external audits;
- Perform other duties as required.
